The space economy can be defined as “the full range of activities and the use of resources that create and provide value and benefits to human beings in the course of exploring, understanding, managing and utilising space”. It goes well beyond the space manufacturing sector, also comprising the increasingly pervasive impacts of space-derived products, services and knowledge on economies and societies. The space economy is expanding and becoming increasingly global, driven by the development of ever-more governmental space programmes around the world, the multiplication of commercial actors in value chains, durable digitalisation trends, and new space systems coming of age, as reported by OECD.
The National Research Council of Italy organises the 2020 edition of New Space Economy Brokerage Event, in the framework of the NSE Expo Forum, in cooperation with the partners Fondazione Amaldi and Fiera Roma, and with the support of the ASI Italian Space Agency.
NSE Expo Forum will create an opportunity to meet and exchange views among existing and new industrial players, small and medium innovative companies, investors, venturers, startuppers, research centers, space agencies and institutions with interests in space. Topics of the 2020 edition: climate change; mobility; security; health; agriculture; food.
Participants will attend and meet virtually. The model is time- and cost efficient (20 minutes run fast but it is enough to build first connections) and results in business!
