The RŪĶĪŠU TĒJA farm is one of the largest producers of medicinal herbs cultivated in Latvia. Medicinal plants have been cultivated at Rūķīši since 1997, at the moment covering an area of more than 20 ha.
RŪĶĪŠU TĒJA was founded in 2000. Two years later, the fi rst branded production was already on sale. Currently, RŪĶĪŠU TĒJA supplies single-herb teas, different tea blends as well as tea pads. A lot of work has been invested in sowing, planting, weeding and gathering of aromatic camomile, peppermint, marjoram and other plants.
The plants are dried, in darkness, over a couple of days in a special drying shed so that they lose as little value as possible.
